Team Sweden continues to battle injuries ahead of the Olympic Winter Games in Milano Cortina.
The Boston Bruins placed centre Elias Lindholm on injured reserve on Monday. The veteran centre has missed the last two games with an upper-body injury, including Sunday's Stadium Series game against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Lindholm was set to be a bottom-six centre for Sweden at the Olympics, with the men's tournament beginning Feb. 11. He has 11 goals and 37 points in 44 games for the Bruins this season.
Sweden has already had to replace two players on their initial roster. Jonas Brodin and Leo Carlsson will both miss the tournament, with Hampus Lindholm and Marcus Johansson subbing in.
